Video Format Survey Request

A non-profit organization is being formed that will enable Northwest archives, historical societies, libraries, art and science organizations, and other non-profit institutions with video tape in their collections, to digitize, reformat and provide access to those materials. A little more detail about the project can be found on page 18 of Sound Archivist here:

In order to get a picture of what types of video formats organizations have in their collections and the subject matter, here is a short survey we hope you will fill out. Those of you who are members of Seattle Area Archivists may have seen the notice about the survey in the newsletter and have filled it out (and thank you), but we’d love to get a bit more participation. http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/HSHMJ7B

Also, if you don’t have time to fill out the survey now but you do have an interest in participating or at least learning more, please feel free to send a message of interest to Hannah Palin (filmarc@u.washington.edu), Anne Frantilla (anne.frantilla@seattle.gov), Carol Shenk (carol.shenk@kingcounty.gov), or Rachel Price (rprice4@mindspring.com).

With gratitude,

Rachel Price, Hannah Palin, Anne Frantilla, and Carol Shenk
