Seattle Archives Fair – Thursday, October 28

Join us for the annual Seattle Archives Fair on Thursday, October 28th, 2010, at the Seattle Public Library’s Central Branch. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

We are happy to have as our guest speaker this year Randall C. Jimerson, author of Archives Power: Memory, Accountability, and Social Justice (2009), Professor of History and Director of the Archives and Records Management MA Program at Western Washington University. The Fair will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the 10th level, near the Library’s Hugh and Jane Ferguson Seattle Room, with Professor Jimerson speaking in the Library’s auditorium from 10:30 to 11:30. If your organization includes an archives collection that is open to the public and you would like to participate in the fair, table space will be available for display boards and literature. The Library also has Wi-Fi if you would like to bring your laptop to show off your repository’s website. Display space is limited, so please contact Janette Gomes at janette.gomes@kingcounty.gov or 206-205-1398 as soon as possible to reserve a table. We look forward to seeing you there!
