Dear Seattle Culture and History Stakeholder,
Like you, The Seattle Public Library is committed to preserving the history and culture of our community. We have begun a project to define the vision and role of the Library in preserving and providing access to Seattle’s historic and cultural heritage in a way that integrates well with our regional partners. Through this process we hope to maximize access to the Library’s collection as well as other resources in the community. Our goal is to be the best partner possible.
For our effort to be successful, we need your ideas and input as key stakeholders in preserving Seattle’s culture and history. Several weeks ago, City Librarian Marcellus Turner reached out to ask if you would complete a survey to help us better understand your collection and programs and what you think The Seattle Public Library should be doing to help preserve and provide access to Seattle Culture and History resources in our community.
We’ve included the survey link and hope that you will participate in this effort and offer your information, insights and ideas. If you have questions about this project or would like the survey to go to someone else in your organization, please feel free to contact me. I am happy to talk with you about this initiative. We are excited to create a vibrant plan for the future of Special Collections at The Seattle Public Library that fits well with the work of your organization. Thank you for taking our survey.
