Nominations Due Feb. 28 – SAA Awards


Nominations are now open for the SAA’s 2024 Philip M. Hamer and Elizabeth Hamer Kegan Award and 2024 J. Franklin Jameson Archival Advocacy Award.

The Hamer Award recognizes an archivist, editor, group of individuals, or institution that has increased public awareness of a specific body of documents through compilation, transcription, exhibition, or public presentation of archives or manuscript materials for educational, instructional, or other public purpose.

The J. Franklin Jameson Archival Advocacy Award honors an individual, institution, or organization that promotes greater public awareness, appreciation, or support of archival activities or programs. The individual’s or institution’s contributions may take the form of advocacy, publicity, legislation, or financial support fosters archival work or raises public consciousness of the importance of archival work.

Can’t Miss: Upcoming Conferences

Submit a poster proposal for the Northwest Archivists Annual Meeting in broad support of the theme Seeking Balance: Sustainability and Adaptation. The proposal deadline is March 1. The conference will be held in Spokane, Washington, May 8-10, 2024.

Register for the 30th Anniversary Washington State Nonprofit Conference. This year’s conference will be held online May 14-16. The first 100 registrants will be entered into a drawing for a free registration to the 2025 Conference.
